How do I thaw my pipes? The line is frozen in my garage?

All my faucets are open and under cabinets are open, but the frozen line is probably in the line that goes through my unheated garage. It is going to remain cold for the next 24-36 hours what the should I do, help? Can I leave my pipe frozen for 2 days? Will it get worse, or risk more damage? I have tried: I've turned up the furnace heat and the furnace is in the garage. Will that help? I think it was caused by: I don't know how this happened? It has never happened before and I'm a townhouse in the middle of a four unit building.
