Unless your old Samsung Galaxy S4 does not have a lockscreen pattern or password set, you will unfortunately not be able to retrieve the photos from your old Samsung Galaxy S4 to put them on your new Samsung Galaxy S4. However, if your old Samsung Galaxy S4 did not have a lockscreen pattern or password, you may be able to retrieve your photos in order to transfer them to your new phone. Dear Respected, I am sorry for disturbing you, and I would really appreciate your help with my S4 as my whole life is there. Due to storage capacity, all my camera pictures that were saved on the phone internal storage disappeared for some reason and the folder is empty. and a folder called .thumbnails is created containing all the other images not taken by camera. While another folder called .face is created and I think it contains the camera images. I would like to recover everything and find the best way to move them to an SD card hoping that original pictures will be back.

Obviously, if you moved your images to the SD card, then the SD card is fully functional. A lot of programs do not allow moving themselves to memory cards. You will have to go through the entire list of installed applications to see if there are any that will allow you to (the entire list can be seen in . To clean your phone thoroughly, please follow our tutorials to clean up your internal memory space: how to move applications to an SD card from GALAXY S5 (it works with S4 too), how to free up Android phone's internal storage, and how to use the memory card as a default download folder on GALAXY phones.

How to eliminate duplicate (stored) pictures (internal memory and SD card)?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and thought I moved my pictures to my SD card (in order to free up my internal memory - I'm getting a notification that it's too full to allow any more storage). However, I have two icons showing on my Gallery files - so I know the pictures are still in the phone's internal memory. How do I delete them only from the memory and retain them on the SD card? Thanks

I have an S4 active and need to transfer photos from the device to the SD card. IT IS NOT WORKING :(?

My husbands phone is finally bit the dusk, and has died. We are able to use a different battery to turn the phone on to recover pictures. Our issue is the charging port is broken and so I am not able to use the USB to transfer the pictures to the computer. I am trying to follow the directions on this site to move the photos from the "device" to the SD card but once I get to the step where it says to select "SD card" from storage; I do not see that option available in my phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible to transfer files from a broken S4?

Hello, my Samsung S4 recently suffered a fall, and the screen no longer lights up, and I sent away for a new one and extracted my old microSD chip, however a lot of the music and pictures are no longer on my phone, I was wondering if there was a way to transfer those files onto my laptop and then transfer those files onto the new phone. I have seen the program that allows you to transfer them, but I cannot go into my settings on the device. is there a trick I can do to bypass it?

Why is my transfer not copying across to the SD card?

When attempting to copy my data from the device storage to the SD card, I get to the 'paste here' option and the phone says 'copying failed'; I've also tried the 'move' option rather than copying to the same end. I've tried creating a new folder to paste into and also tried pasting into existing folders, all to no avail. Thank you

It's possible that the files in your broken phone have been corrupted and cannot be moved, but before we arrive at that conclusion, you need to consider that your SD card might damaged. If that is true then your solution will simply be to get a new SD card and try to copy the files from your hard device one more time and hopefully you will be successful.

I just installed a 64 GB microSD card into my Galaxy Tab 4 8.0?

I then easily transferred a single photo from my images folder to the SD card. Now I want to know how to move the photo back to images folder of the Tab 4. For some reason, I can't seem to do it. If I chose the Move icon it doesn't move the file. If I chose Paste, it pastes another photo to the SD card.

I can move it to the card, but not from the card.
