Attempt until you get the option of using your Google Account. Otherwise, hard reset your phone. Next time, write your password down to avoid this.

Without a Google Account, you can't reset the password. If you set one up and forget the password, you will have to hard reset each time. It is not advised to do this. If you do not want to use Gmail, then you can create a Google Account using a different email as described in this Youtube Tutorial.
