You can disable Drive Mode, but many times it's just a setting that causes the problem you're having. The driving mode feature on Samsung Galaxy phones is a very useful option with the main benefit being that you won't need to touch the phone while driving.

I can't seem to get the Driving mode to stay off my S5 from Verizon?

I just did what you suggest, my phone just turned it back on

You will need to tap on "Apps" from the home screen, locate "Message+", and tap on it. Then, you can tap on the icon in the upper-left corner to enter the settings. From there, tap on "Driving mode" and uncheck all of the connections. If you still somehow get the driving mode back on your S5, you can disable the application that turns it on. Again, tap on "Apps" from the home screen, tap on "Settings", "Application manager", and select "ALL" at the top. From there, locate and tap on "Message+" and tap on "Stop" and "Disable". This should turn your driving (or car) mode off.
