How do I free up storage space without deleting my videos and pictures?

I have a Motorola Android Straight Talk phone. I am not tech savvy. I keep getting a message saying that my storage space is running out. I do have a lot of pictures and small family videos on my phone, and I don't want to delete them. They are backed up and stored in Google Photos, which is the default app. I also have an SD card with quite a lot of space on it. The only apps I use are Facebook, Messenger and Text and YouTube.. I have tried: So far I have only cleared cache. This usually works but this time for some reason I am still getting the storage space message. I think it was caused by: I don't know
