How can you help reset my Samsung Galaxy S3 without losing data?

The screen is blacked out after a system update.

If you are not able to turn your phone on after the update, your device is bricked -- as its name implies, your device has turned into nothing more than a brick since it will no longer turn on or work as it should If this has happened, you will need to contact Samsung to schedule a repair for your Galaxy S3.

If you can turn your device on, and you see lights and hear sounds but the screen doesn't turn on, you may have a broken screen. This would not be the fault of the update, but rather a fault in the screen itself. Again, you will have to call Samsung to schedule a repair in this scenario.

If your device shows the Samsung logo screen but goes black once Android boots up, you will have to perform a Factory Reset after trying to back your data up. Download Samsung Kies (not Samsung Kies 3) by clicking this link on your computer. Once it's installed, plug your Samsung Galaxy S3 into your computer. Kies will now open. If your phone wasn't locked with a password, PIN, or pattern, you will be able to backup your files with Kies. If it was, you're unfortunately out of luck. You will need to perform a Factory Reset to get back into your phone. To learn how to perform a Factory Reset, read through and follow the steps in this great VisiHow article.

Adding pic to my contacts in Samsung Galaxy S2?

Well, why in heaven's name I cannot tap on the contact anywhere and bring up a dialogue allowing me to add a pic - even though I have that pic already on my cellphone? Nothing happens when I tap on the outline of a pic in contacts, or the information area therein.

Does this have something to do with transferring my card from my Xperia Android over into my Galaxy S2? I just purchased the S2 online and transferred my SIM card over from the Xperia, I'm totally perplexed since I know it's, (the S2) supposed to allow one to add a pic to his, or her contacts.

How to save data of phone that is not booting up to home screen?

I was speaking on my Samsung S2 on speaker phone, the phone flew out of my hands and landed on the floor. Screen intact but went dead. After turning phone back on, the G2 symbol flashed on screen then the T-Mobile sound then the Samsung white letters but gets stuck there. Phone had maxed out its photo/movie storage and I had never backed up the phone. Did not have an SD card into backup data. So I am hoping to save all photos and movies taken, all data contacts and text messages. Is this possible? I am about to download Samsung Kies to follow the instructions on this VisiHow page to off load data and backup photos if that can be done.

My S3 is not rebooting after memory low status?

I got a message on my S3 mobile phone that memory is low. I was connected to WiFi. My friend sent me a photo. Just on receiving the photo, the mobile froze and with a screen of multiples lines of colors. I tried restart but it does not switch on. I tried pressing the three buttons:power, volume up and home too. Yet nothing appears. Even when connected to charger does not show anything and when connected to a PC via USB Cable, the mobile is not detected. Please advise. I have tried: Draining out the battery. Tried my battery in another working S3 mobile and it works well, hence no battery problem. Tried the reset steps: Pressing power, home and volume up button yet mobile not switching on.. I think it was caused by: Insufficient Memory space

While I was making a password to set up a VPN on my Galaxy Note3 it died. When I plugged it in I was faced with a screen lock which I did not set. I have tried every possible combination of various numbers of importance, I tried to reset the passcode by using Android app which I was able to keep creating new ones but there was never a prompt to unlock it, it is registered with a Gmail account although I do not remember which data if any I allowed it to back up.
