There is a possibility that you are entering an incorrect password for your Samsung Galaxy S2 to unlock with your Google account information. To make sure that you're using the correct information, go to this Google website to try and recover your username and password. Once you've recovered it, enter the information into your phone. It will unlock to allow you to change or remove the password to something you can remember. If you can't retrieve your information, however, you will need to perform a Factory Reset. As you probably already know, this will delete all of your phone's data. To learn how to perform a Factory Reset on your Samsung Galaxy S2, read through and follow the steps in this great VisiHow article. Once the reset is complete, sign up for a new Google account here, write down the information, and log your phone into it so you don't have to perform a Factory Reset in the future if you forget your password again.

Actually, it's an S4. After I removed/replaced the battery, my unlock pattern no longer works?

That's about it. Either that, or the touch screen isn't working! I took the phone apart to check for moisture because my Outer-box had some condensation on the inside. I also removed the battery to check for any moisture there. When I put it all back together, the touch screen doesn't seem to work, or else my unlock pattern is "forgotten".
