I Cannot see my USB files after using it work which has Norton Antivirus?

Hi,. I have a TDK password protect USB and I tried to use it at work. When I connected the USB Norton Antivirus didn't like it and refused to open it. I tried again once at home on my own laptop only to find when the USB ("Public":) there are no icons or files for me to access so as to log into using my password.. . Is this something Norton Antivirus has done or is it simply a Control Panel setting as suggested here in this article?. Nick
