It sounds like there was a surge of current at night or maybe a static discharge that went through the power supply into the motherboard and damaged some of its parts or the processor. Some motherboards start fans with a broken CPU; some do not react to the power up at all. You isolated everything else, but now you have to test if it is CPU, motherboard or both. It is more likely that is motherboard; so, buying a new one is recommended. If you wish to upgrade your system with a new motherboard, you might as well buy a new processor too, as sockets usually differ from one generation to another.
