via Windows based computer and Macintosh computer.

For Windows based operating system:

1. First, you must have an SD card reader where you can insert your SD card to it and connect it to your computer.

2. Remove the SD card from your phone and insert it to the card reader and to your computer. Then go to:

Click the start Button to open Start Menu

Click on Computer and check what is the letter of the SD card in the list of drives. If its set to E: D: F: or any.

3. Open the Command Prompt or CMD by going to Start menu and in the search box. Type in cmd then enter.

4. In the blank screen. type the following series of command for the command prompt:

Note: The letter that is shown in the commands is just an example, please change it to the Drive letter that specifies

your SD card.

> > FORMAT F: /FS exFAT /Q (The /Q Means Quick or Quick formatting) then press enter.

> > Once you enter it, it will ask for current volume level for the drive that you want to format. Just type the word

or the name of the drive, example if its on Removable then type it and enter

> > After you enter again, it will ask you if you wanted to proceed or not. Type N for No and Y for Yes, and type Y

to continue.

> > This will ask you know to put a name to the drive. Simply create a name to the drive you are formatting

After the format, simply go back to the Computer and check the file system on your SD card and it should show

there the file system as exFAT now, not FAT32 or NTFS.

For Macintosh based operating system computer:

1. Same as with Windows step 1 and 2, insert the SD card in a card reader and connect the card reader to the

computer.

2. Boot up your Macintosh computer and login. On the main screen, go to the spotlight, the spotlight looks like a

magnifying glass located on the top right screen. Then type Disc Utility, this will show you top hits where those

results are the programs you keep on accessing.

3. Start the Disk Utility application and wait for it to be ready. On the left side of the screen, select the SD card that

will be shown in the list of drives that is connected to the computer

4. You will see there tabs on you screen that you can select. From the 4 tabs, select the second option and that would

be the Erase.

5. There will be message on your screen, you can read the instructions and warning or just ignore. In the middles

screen, there will be a format and a drop down menu that you an click on and select "exFAT" and put a name.

6. Click on Erase and click OK on the message and it will start formatting the SD card. This will take only few

seconds and you will now have a file system of exFAT for your SD card.

If your computer has a built in SD card slot, no need for you to use a card reader. You can simply insert the SD card

to the appropriate SD card slot and begin the steps to format.

Why does the Samsung Galaxy S4 randomly reboot?

When my daughter signs into her phone, the phone will not accept her password and then reboots itself. The password is correct. Also, the phone will randomly reboot just on its own

There can be a lot of reasons for that. Take out the battery and check if it is flat. It must not spin if you rotate it on a flat surface. If it is not flat, buy a new one. Boot into a safe mode by turning off your phone. Turn on the phone and keep pressing and releasing the menu button. Examine if the phone exhibits the same symptoms in the safe mode. If it does not, then you have to find an application that causes the phone to reboot an erase it. It is recommended to start with the latest application installations. You can also try to update your phone. Then, if nothing helps, hard-reset it. If none of the tips above help to resolve the problem, you will have to bring your phone to the nearest Samsung service center.

Do I need a new SD card for my Samsung Galaxy it won't allow anything to move to SD card?

My Samsung Galaxy S4 is saying blank SD card or unsupported file system, then when I press on it, it says all data will be lost do I want to format, I press format then it says again blank SD card.

First, you have to find out whether this SD card is 64 GB or less. If it is, take it out, buy or take a microSD to SD adapter, and take the microSD card out of Samsung Galaxy. Put the microSD into the adapter and into a card reader of a computer. Format the card on the computer as FAT32 (you can use "Quick format" if you want). Then, insert it back into the Samsung Galaxy phone.

You can take out the SD card without turning your phone on. To do so, follow the instructions for this tutorial. The reason that your phone is not turning on can be anything from a dead or faulty battery to a broken hardware or firmware of the phone. You will have to check the battery. Then, try to hard-reset the phone. Go to this VisiHow page, find the "How to Hard Reset your Samsung Galaxy" section and follow the instructions in step 4. If that does not work, then you may want to try to use advanced methods for trying to revive your phone, such as unbricking it. You can read more about unbricking in this VisiHow artricle,
