If the pedometer on your Samsung Galaxy S5 is frozen it means that the sensor that counts steps inside the phone is jammed from uploading data and needs to be force stopped. Navigate to Settings and open the Applications Manager. Use the tab "All" or scroll through the apps on your phone to find the app S-Health.

Once found, open the app and tap on "app information." Tap "Force Stop" and "Uninstall Updates." This resets the S-Health app to its factory settings but your data from your walks will still be saved. After all new updates are finished installing open the program. The app should now be able to count steps again.
