Hello, you are watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to get started with HTC Sense on an HTC One M8 smartphone.
Press the lock button on the top of the phone to turn the screen on and display the lock screen.
Alternatively, double tap the screen to turn the screen on. The lock screen is designated by the padlock at the bottom of the screen, in the center.
Swipe up to unlock the phone and display the home screen.
In the top left corner of the screen there will be a small house icon with a map pointer, which is the HTC Sense Home icon.
Swipe down from the top of the screen to display the notifications panel.
Tap the "Personalize HTC Sense" notification to open the HTC Sense Home personalization settings.
Select which options you would like to enable and check the boxes beside each one.
In the HTC Sense Home personalization settings, there will be two options for what to share with HTC Sense.
Check the box next to "Share my precise location" to share your location with HTC Sense to receive suggestions for nearby restaurants and other places.
Check the box next to "Share my personal usage data" to share data such as applications you use, websites you visit and media you listen to or watch which allows HTC to provide more relevant suggestions on apps, news and content.
Once the two boxes, or one of the two boxes, has been checked, tap "Close" at the bottom of the screen to save the changes.
The HTC Sense application has now been personalized and set up to use your unique data to improve your experience when using the HTC One M8.
