On the home screen, we need to find the TripAdvisor tile
It has a green background, and in the middle is the TripAdvisor logo. This is a hypnotic owl with very large eyes. If TripAdvisor has not been pinned to the home screen, swipe left to find it in the Apps menu.
If we look down, we will see the name of the hotel and underneath of that, it will say the address
It's important to remember that anything that's green on this application, we can press and it will allow us to open it in another application. We want to press down on the address. This will not open up the TripAdvisor map, it will open the Microsoft Map application, and this is what allows us to get directions. The map that we look at on the TripAdvisor application does not allow this function.
Now it is asking us for the start and end addresses
With this phone, we have two options. The first is to get directions to this address from our current location. That means that it will use GPS to locate us. We're going to have this function turned on our Microsoft Lumia 535, which should automatically be turned on. We also need to allow this application permission to access our location. If we've allowed that, we'll be able to find directions to the location from our current location.
If we're happy, we can press the white box with a black arrow inside of it in the bottom right-hand corner
If we press that, it will load the directions from our current location. We also have the option to change the start location as well. For example, if we wanted to find directions from the train station to the hotel.
This concludes the tutorial on how to get directions to a location found on the TripAdvisor application when using the Microsoft Lumia 535
