On my Samsung Galaxy S2, all the applications are crashing?

Tried to uninstall to reload them. I can't get my contacts to sync, and I'm not sure how to fix the problem as I can't save my data before a Factory Reset.

Since you have a Samsung Galaxy S2, you can backup your data to your computer using Samsung Kies. Click this link to download and install the original Samsung Kies. Remember: Do not download Samsung Kies 3, as that is for newer Samsung devices. When the application has installed, plug your Samsung Galaxy S2 into your computer. Kies will start to allow you to transfer and backup your phone's data. Then, perform a factory reset on your device by following the steps in this great VisiHow article. If your issue still isn't fixed after you perform a Factory Reset, you will need to call Samsung to schedule a repair. Since the Galaxy S2 was released in 2011, you will not be under warranty, so you will need to pay for the repairs.

The last but one trick is to take the phone battery out along with the microSD card. Then, press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This should completely discharge your phone and erase the cache memory of the phone. Insert only the battery back. Turn on your phone. If it works, put the microSD card back. If it does not, then you will need to factory reset your phone.

Have notification: Encryption Failed - Unable to complete encryption because of interruption. Perform Factory data Reset (erasing all your data) before use. After resetting, try encrypting device again. The only option is to reset?

Have been recharging batteries externally as, charge slot appears to be damaged and does not charge batteries properly. After changing overcharged battery and turning ON the device - Samsung Galaxy 2, the regular password/security window appeared, and I entered the correct code. It didn't go through to the second password stage where I would normally enter a password to start using the phone. I think the phone went back to the same initial password stage, but this time it appeared to be frozen for 3-4 minutes and I was unable to enter the code. I was unable to shut down the phone by the normal method so I removed the battery and then replaced it. This time when I turned ON the phone I got this notification - "Encryption Failed - Unable to complete encryption because of interruption. Perform factory data reset (erasing all your data) before use. After resetting, try encrypting device again." I have tried removing the battery again and also removing the SIM and storage, but still get the Encryption Failed notification. Is there any way I can externally enter the phone to download data. I can't remember if I used the SIM and data storage, instead of the phone, to store my data. I have about 4 years of 'stuff' on it, I don't want to lose!!!!! Can you help?

My Galaxy S4 is frozen and I can't turn it on. I was told to back up the data before I hand the phone back to the provider for a Factory Reset as that will wipe everything. I have been trying to do that but nothing is working because the phone cannot be turned on. I have just returned from overseas last week and have more than a thousand photos on my phone I desperately do not want to lose. HELP? If you can?

My Samsung S2 has lost its OS, can I install a new one using SD card?

I was trying to do a factory reset on the phone I bought second hand and it did not work. I know the phone had been updated by the previous owner. Now it gets to first icon and freezes. The PC will no longer see it and I was wondering if I could replace the OS using the Ext. SD card?
