Follow the steps and Video Tutorial above to use Google SideSync. The best way with a Samsung to avoid a hard reset after a pattern lock debacle is to register your device online with Samsung. Then you could use Samsung's Find My Mobile to remotely unlock your device.

How do I get rid of the account issue and access the menu?

I just got a phone, and after a factory reset, I couldn't access the menu. I was blocked from the start with a question on putting a previously used Google account on the device, and I got none. I have tried: Factory reset but still same issue. I think it was caused by: I don't really know, it might be that there is a software holding record of the previously used account and can't be wiped by a factory reset since the software might embed with the system program.

You are correct! This is new to all phones now that are Android. You did not list your device manufacturer and model so you will have to search on YouTube to see how to disable the FRP unless you have a Samsung which then use SideSync.

I have a G Flex 2, that a friend of mine has asked me to mod it for him. Is it on the Sprint network?

He has asked me to do to his new phone as I had done to my Verizon Bionic; which is getting it on the T-Mobile network, which is very plausible. I did my research, collected my data, and had all programs needed to complete this process. However, he is involved in gambling, and the phone had been won through a card game. Henceforth, since he just got the phone and hadn't attached his own Google account. Once I performed a Factory Reset by just using the buttons instead of through the settings menu, (thinking it would be faster, and more efficient). But, now I am completely locked out, just as much as he is, and I feel bad because I don't have the $ to replace it.
