iOS 7.1 problems with downgrading to iOS 7.0.4?

I am trying to downgrade my iOS system after unknowingly upgrading my iPhone to iOS 7.1 and have lost some crucial benefits from the previous operating system. When I try to install iOS 7.0.4 I get error 17 and 3194.

Downgrading is usually not allowed, especially if you are using the latest version of iPhone. You will keep on getting that error. In most cases, you will still be able to find the same benefits in the newer version of the operating system, you just have to explore further.

I am currently in DFU mode. How do I get past error 3014?

My device is an iPad 2 model# A1395. I'm running iOS 7.1.1. Windows 7, 64bit. I recently tried a Pangu jailbreak (the first one), which was working fine, except I had problems with the Cydia file. When I tried to upgrade to iOS 7.1.2, I became stuck in recovery mode. I have edited my host file, but I should note that the apple lines in the host file were not present. In fact no reference to the apple server were in that file. However, using Windows website, I restored the host file to the original. Still no luck. I have tried the DFU mode, still no luck. Please help!

Having trouble updating ipad2 from ios6 to ios7.

I downloaded an update file from another website, but iTunes keeps throwing this error. I am not sure if it's because Apple wants me to upgrade to 8 or not. Do you know if it's possible to still go from 6 to 7? Thanks!!! Jeff

My iPhone 4S has been on its last leg since March.

I was hoping it would last until the next iPhone came out, because I didn't want the iPhone 5. I always wait till my current one crashes. I finally got my iPhone 6 and just activated it today.

Bottom line, my 4S is still a mess because I cannot restore the phone. I wanted my 6 years to use it for educational apps.
