Once the phone is activated, you will see the lock screen.
Swipe the lock screen up. This will take us to the Home screen. The People application on the Microsoft Lumia 535 is where you store all your contact details. What we can do with the Vine application is we can search for contacts that have a Vine account allowing you to add your friends. These are people you already have in your contacts application or the People application. If you have their contact details, the Vine application will be able to search and show you which one of your contacts has a Vine account. You will then be able to follow them on Vine, as well.

To get started, we need to find the Vine tile on the Home screen.
Located on the bottom of the screen is a turquoise background tile and in the middle, is a white "V" with a slight "E"-looking shape on the right side. Once you have located this tile, you need to press it. If you do not have the Vine tile pinned to your Home screen, then swipe left and find it in the Apps menu. When you have located it, press down on the Vine tile. That will take us into the application. Press down quite firmly to make sure that it works because sometimes, the touch screen is a little bit sensitive on the Microsoft Lumia 535.

As always, the Vine application is going to try to automatically play a Vine for us.
We can pause that just by pressing down on the screen. What we want to do in this video is to show you how to find the Vine accounts of your contacts in the People application on the Microsoft Lumia 535.

We want to be on the "@" symbol.
If we look down at the bottom, in a brownish sandy colored rectangle, it says, "People Hub". This is where our contacts are. If we press down on the icon, it's going to search our contacts for people with Vine accounts.

It says, "Sorry, we couldn't find Vine accounts for your contacts".
That is because unfortunately no one in the contact list has a Vine application. If you know someone, or if you don't know but are just curious, you can still follow these steps. If you do have someone who has Vine and you do have them on your People Hub and in your Contacts list, the option would display a list of these people and you will have the option to follow them. Go through this process. See what the results are. When the results appear, you can choose whether or not you want to follow them. You can also just view people's vines without following them or just send them a message - the choice will be yours.
