Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to find applications for specific age ranges in the Google Play Store on an HTC One M8.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the top of the phone.
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.
To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards.
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen. At the bottom, we will see several icons. It is in this area that we need to focus now because we need to open up the applications folder.
Find the icon at the bottom center of the home screen.
It looks like a grid made up of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder. Press down on the white grid icon, and the "Apps" folder will open.
Find the Play Store application.
In this demonstration, it is located in the second row of apps. The icon is a white shopping bag with a colorful triangle in the middle. Underneath, there are the words "Play Store". Press down on this icon, and the Play Store application will open. We want to show how to find applications for specific age ranges. We're talking about under 18 because age ranges aren't applicable for adults. This is more for children.
Make sure we are in the "HOME" section.
The word "HOME" will be highlighted in bold white at the top of the screen.
Press on the button marked "FAMILY".
The icon is a star with a smiling face inside.
Let's consider the options.
We have "AGES 5 & UNDER", "AGES 6-8" and "AGES 9 & OVER". We are differentiating between ages, and we have different sections that are more applicable for certain age ranges. Press down on "AGES 9 & OVER".
Scroll down to can see the applications available.
There's "LearnEnglish" if your child is not a native speaker, for example. There are several quite challenging and educational applications.
Press the arrow on the bottom left-hand corner of the screen to go back.
Scroll to browse available apps.
We have apps like "LEGO Juniors", "Kindergarten Kid" and "Animals for Kids". These are more playful and more suitable for the young audience.
This concludes our tutorial on how to find applications for specific age ranges in the Google Play Store on an HTC One M8.
