You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, I'm going to demonstrate how to find applications that are taking up a lot of memory on your Nexus 6P. This might be useful in identifying apps that are slowing down your phone too much.

Steps

    On the home screen, swipe down with two fingers from the top

    Now, tap on the gear-shaped icon in the upper-right hand corner of the screen

    Scroll down until you reach "Memory" and tap on it

    You can see that the "Average memory use" is at 1.7 GB. And the "Total memory" is 2.6 GB, which leaves about 0.9 GB free.

    I can tap on "Memory use by apps"

    Now, the phone will show me a list of all the apps.

    I can sort this list by maximum usage by pressing "Sort by max use."

    Now, I can make informed decisions on which apps are potentially slowing my phone down
