Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to filter the See and Do section when using the Microsoft Maps application on a Microsoft Lumia 535.


Steps

    To get started, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone

    Once the phone is activated, swipe the lock screen up to open the home screen

    On the home screen, find the Maps tile
    .
    It has a blue background with a white map in the middle. If Maps has not been pinned to the home screen, swipe left to find it in the Apps menu.

    Once Maps has been located, press on it to enter the application

    Maps will open the last location viewed. For this demonstration, it has brought up a map of London. This is beneficial because the See and Do option works best in more popular areas. When searching in a less well-known area, there will be fewer options available.

    Press the first icon at the bottom of the screen

    It is a white circle with some white buildings inside. This is the scout option. The Microsoft Lumia 535 will then scout the area for places of interest.

    Swipe to the left to open the "see+do" screen

    This shows different places of interest, each with its own square. Some have images, and some only have a blue tile with a name. Swipe up and down to scroll through them.

    They include, "Historical sites," "Museums," "Tourist attractions," and "Zoos." Any number of these filters can be chosen.

    Tap on a checkbox to the left to put a check in the box or to remove a check

    For this demonstration, we will be focusing on "Museums."
