Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This video will show you how to filter people who look for you on Facebook on an iPhone 6
Turn the phone on by pressing the big, round Home button at the bottom of the screen.
Unlock the phone by pressing a finger to the fingerprint scanner or by entering the passcode and access the Home screen.
Find and click the Facebook icon once.
It is a blue tile with a white lowercase 'F' in the center.
Opening Facebook will automatically take you to the Timeline.
To access the privacy settings click the three horizontal lines of the 'More' option which is located at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
Scroll down until you reach 'Account Settings.' Click this option.
On the 'Account Settings' menu click the 'Privacy' option, which is the third from the top.
Scroll down to view information on who can search for you on Facebook.
Click the first option to open it.
This opens the 'Who can look you up using the email address you provided?' page.
In this example 'Friends of Friends' can search and find the user.
Click 'Friends' to limit the search which is indicated by a checkmark next to the 'Friends' label.
You will immediately be returned to the 'How You Connect' after you've made your selection.
The second option indicates 'Who can look you up using the phone number you provided?'
Click the second option to edit it.
In this example 'Friends of Friends' can access the user by phone number as indicated by the checkmark to the right of the label.
To change it click the option you desire.
This example switches to 'Everyone' by clicking the label and is signified by the checkmark. You will immediately be returned to the 'How You Connect' after you've made your selection.
The third option to search for you is, 'Do you want other search engines to link to your timeline?' This means that a Google or Yahoo public search can result in your profile being found.
Click the label to edit it.
Click 'Let other search engines link to your timeline' if you desire this public search.
A checkmark in the label will show that the selection has been made. You will immediately be returned to the 'How You Connect' after you've made your selection.
If you wish to change your selection, go back by pressing the white arrow in the menu bar on the top right-hand corner.
Click one of the options of 'Who can look me up?' to edit.
This example we will deselect the option for a public search engine.
You will be prompted to confirm your change.
After you confirm your change you will immediately be returned to the 'How You Connect' after you've made your selection.
