If your itel IT1401 is locked because your forgot your phone's lockscreen password, there are a couple of things you can try to unlock it. First, enter the wrong lockscreen password up to 20 times. Your phone should then ask for your Google account information. Enter it; your phone will then unlock, allowing you to remove or change the lockscreen password to something you can remember. If you don't remember your Google account information, you can go to this Google website to try to recover it. If you are unable to retrieve your Google account information, your phone doesn't ask for it, or if you never signed into a Google account in the first place, you will need to perform a Factory Reset on your itel IT1401. This will wipe all of your phone's data -- including the forgotten lockscreen password -- to return your phone to its original factory settings. To learn how to perform a proper Factory Reset on your Android phone, read through and follow the steps in this great VisiHow how-to article. Once the reset is complete, be sure to log your device into a Google account to which you know the information so you can unlock your phone if you forget your lockscreen information again. If you need a new Google account, go here to create one. In addition to a Google account, make sure you write down your lockscreen password on a piece of paper so you can refer to it in the future if you forget both the password and your Google account information. Keep this piece of paper stored in a safe and secure place so it doesn't become lost or stolen.
