Resetting Your Galaxy Gear S2

    Move the watch face in a clockwise manner until you see the settings panel.

    When you see settings panel, tap once on settings.
    This will take you to a series of options.

    Scroll clockwise through the options.
    When you get to the bottom, you will see 'Gear Info'.

    You should now see 'Reset Gear'.

    Now you will be given the option to perform a light reset or a factory reset.

    In order to perform a factory reset, simply tap the 'Factory Reset' button one time.
    Once you tap the 'Factory Reset' button, you will be given a message indicating that all downloaded apps and personal information will be permanently erased.

    To proceed, press the checkbox.
    The checkbox is located on the right side of your watch.

    After pressing the checkbox, you will see an indicator that a factory reset is being performed.
    Please note that the factory reset can take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes. This is dependent on the amount of data that you have on your device. The more applications and programs and information on your Samsung Galaxy Gear S2 smartwatch, the longer the factory reset will take.

    Note that once the Galaxy Gear factory reset process begins, the watch will turn off and then start up again.
    When the Galaxy gear reset process has finished your Samsung Galaxy Gear S2 will start once more.

Additional Tips

  • We have found it best to simply set the watch down during a factory reset, and come back after 10 or even 20 minutes. This is because there is nothing you can do while the watch resets itself.
  • Once you reset the watch it will default to its factory state. If your watch is from a country with a language different than your own, it will revert back to the regional language. Make sure you pair the watch as we showed you in our previous tutorial, and you will be able to easily change the language.
