Enable or Disable the Location Icon on Microsoft Lumia 535
Edited by Thor, Gordon, Eng
Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we will show you how to turn the location icon on or off while using a Microsoft Lumia 535. When you enable or disable the location icon, it does not change the function of location services. If you decide to disable the location icon, it simply reduces clutter on your screen. If you would like to turn location services on or off, please refer to the video on VisiHow that focuses on that task specifically.
Turn your phone on by pressing the power button on the right side of the phone.
Swipe the lock screen up to unlock the phone.
You may have another method of unlocking your phone.
When the location icon is on, it will appear next to the other icons in the top left corner of your screen.
As an example, open an application that uses your current location, such as Maps.
As you can see, there is now an icon that appears as a dot surrounded by a circle in the top left corner of your screen.
This is the location icon, and indicates there is an app open that is currently using your location.
Open the notifications panel by swiping down from the top of your screen and tap ALL SETTINGS to open your settings menu.
Scroll down and tap location to open location settings.
Ensure the box next to Show icon is checked if you would like the location icon to display when location services are being used.
If you do not want the location icon to display at the top of your screen, uncheck this box.
This concludes the tutorial on how to turn the location icon on or off while using a Microsoft Lumia 535.
