Hi, welcome to VisiHow. Today I'm going to teach you how to enable or disable push notifications using the Shazam application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, press the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone.
Alternatively, we can unlock our phone by pressing the home button at the bottom of the screen.
Swipe to the right to enter your passcode.
As an alternative to entering your passcode, put your finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner.
Find the settings icon, which is grey with a grey gear inside of it, and tap on it once to open the phone settings.
Scroll down until we find "Shazam" located in the alphabetical list of applications near the bottom, and tap on it once to open the application.
Tap on "Notifications", which is the option at the bottom of the list.
Tap on the white button located on the right-hand side of "Allow Notification" to enable or disable the option.
It will highlight with green to indicate that the option is enabled, and we can tap the button again to remove the green and disable the option. When the option is enabled, we can begin editing our notification preferences.
Tap on "Show in Notification Center".
Tap on an option that we prefer to select.
The default option is "5 Recent Items", and is indicated by the blue check mark on the right-hand side. We can also select "1 Recent Item", "10 Recent Items", or "No Recent Items". In this example, we'll leave it at "5 Recent Items".
Tap on the arrow in the top-left corner to go back.
Our options will save automatically and we don't need to save it ourselves.
Tap on the white button next to "Sounds" to enable or disable sounds.
We can also tap the button next to "Badge App Icon" or "Show on Lock Screen" to enable or disable those options as well.
If we enable the option "Show on Lock Screen", we can tap on any of the options below it to select how we want it to be seen.
The blue boxes inside of the phone diagrams are indicating where the notification will show on the phone screen. The default setting is "Banners" which has a blue ring indicating that it's selected, but we can select whichever option we prefer.
Once we're finished, we'll tap on the arrow in the top-left corner to go back.
Our options will save automatically.
Press the home button once.
Tap on the Shazam application icon, which is blue with a white symbol inside of it.
Our settings have now been saved.
Now you know how to enable or disable notifications using the Shazam application on the iPhone 6.
If you have any questions, comments, or queries, feel free to add them into the section below and we'll do our best to get back to you.
