Effectively Peel a Banana

Hi, guys! You are watching VisiHow. This is Henry. Today, I am going to show you something interesting, amazing, and even a little bit incredible.
I am going to show you how to peel this lovely banana, but not just this one; I have got a second banana, too.
I am going to show you two ways to peel banana.
You will notice that, at least in my experience, most people in North America believe that the proper way to peel banana is from the top. This is how we see it in television.
Some people choose to peel it in this direction.
Some people try to pull it in this direction which I find generally in effective.
You place your thumb here on the top.
You hold it and then you pull back and here that juicy delicious crack.
So you pull the top of the banana as I showed.
Then you simply peel it down and you turn.
You take another piece of the top here.
If you find it that you are pulling too much at once, just hold that thumb there and pull that piece down.
Pull down the banana over here.
And you usually got 4 or sometimes 5 little star design other than banana.
As you peel it , you will know have a very delicious and tasty banana.
However, this is not how the experts peel the bananas.
If you are wondering, experts are actually not the Americans, it is not an assets, not some massively government funded scientific study.
Little tiny monkeys or big ones - depending on which part you are holding in.
Now, they do not peel banana from the top as we humans do.
Instead, they are going to the bottom here.
So the next time you see someone peel up a banana from down here. You know you are dealing with bonafide banana-peeling experts.
Watch carefully and learn.
The first thing you do is you take your thumb in your 4 fingers together and you pinch.
And that pinch allows you peel the little banana piece - that most of us do not want to.
You see that little thing there at the bottom - pull that right out.
Then you just take your fingers and you hold down the banana.
Next, you take another section and you hold down the banana.
It is quite a bit like peeling an ice cream cone, which by the way we have a video on - how to peel properly an ice cream.
You can watch that on our other series.
For now, we are going to focus on peeling this delicious banana and then taking a bite off it.
Actually we saved on that for another video on how to eat bananas.
This concludes our series or video on how to properly peel a banana.
As a final word, if you ever get a mosquito bite, you can take a banana peel.
This part right here is the fresh banana peel. Rub it around the mosquito bite. It is a natural remedy for mosquito bites, which is why you probably also never see a monkey itching from mosquito bites.
You have been watching VisiHow and hopefully you will take this excellent lesson in banana peeling with you through life and become a fantastic banana peeler.
Pass that legacy on to your children and their children. Thanks and have a great day!
