Edit and Add Personal Information on Facebook with iPhone 6

Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this series of videos I will introduce you to the Facebook application and some of its more complicated settings and features. Today you will be shown how to edit and add basic information, like birthday, gender, and languages spoken on your Facebook page on the iPhone 6.
Turn the phone on by pressing the big, round Home button at the bottom of the screen.
Unlock the phone by swiping to the right to enter the passcode or Touch ID to unlock the phone and access to the Home screen.
Open the Facebook application by clicking the icon once.
The icon is blue with a white lowercase 'F' inside.
Opening Facebook will direct us to the News Feed.
To reach the main menu click the three horizontal lines labeled 'More' in the bottom right-hand corner.
Click 'Update Info,' which is the second option under your name on the profile page.
Scroll down until you reach 'Basic Info.' This information includes your birthday, your gender, and the languages you speak.
To edit or add information, click 'Edit,' located in the right-hand corner next to a little pen.
The first option to change is your birthday.
Click the month to access a scrolling calendar at the bottom of the page.
Enter the desired month in the scrolling calendar and click 'Done' to save.
To change the date, click 'Date' to access a scrolling calendar with numbers at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll to the desired date and click 'Done' to save.
To change your 'Birth Year,' click the year to access the scrolling calendar at the bottom of the page.
Scroll to the desired year and click 'Done' to save.
All this information can be made private or public.
Click the buttons to the right of the 'Birthday' or 'Birthday Year'
This example uses 'Birthday' of which only friends are able to view, as indicated by the 'Friends' label and checkmark to the right.
To make this information public, click 'Public,' which is the top option on the pop-up menu.
The other example used here is the birth year.
Here, the year is viewed by 'Only Me,' as indicated by the label and the checkmark to the right. To make the birth year viewable to friends, click 'Friends,' which is the second option on the pop-up menu.
Scroll down to access information on gender, the choices are 'Male' or 'Female.'
Click the circle to the right of the 'Gender' label to decide whether to allow or hide the information on your 'Timeline.'
Scroll down to 'Interested In,' with the choices being 'Women' or 'Men.' Click your desired selection, or select both, and a checkmark appears to indicate your selection.
These preferences can also be made public or private.
Click the button located to the right of the 'Interested In' label, which looks like a group of people.
In this example the user's 'Interested In' is viewable to friends, as indicated by the checkmark.
To make this information private, click 'More Options,' which is the last option of the pop-up menu.
In the new menu click 'Only Me' to make complete the private viewing.
Scroll down to 'Languages.' To delete languages click the 'X' beside the language listed.
To add a language, click the white box below the 'Language' label, next to the language(s) listed.
The keyboard appears at the bottom of the screen when you can type your desired language.
This example is French, which Facebook will suggest a format for the language. Choose the desired format to see the language under the 'Language' label in your profile.
This information can also be made public or private by clicking the button that looks like a group of people located to the right of the 'Language' label.
In this instance, friends are able to view the languages spoken, as indicated by the checkmark to the right of the 'Friends' option in the pop-up menu.
To make this information public, click 'Public' which is the top option in the pop-up menu.
Near the bottom of 'Edit Profile' menu the option for 'Religious Views.' Click the white box under the 'Religious Views' label to access the keyboard and enter a religion.
This information can be left empty.
In this example, Christian is entered.
Facebook offers suggestions of Christian sects and denominations. Choose the desired affiliation and add a description if you want.
To make this information public or private, click the button that is located to the right of the 'Religious Views,' that looks like a group of people.
In this instance, the option is 'Public.' Click 'More Options' which is the last selection in the pop-up menu.
Click 'Only Me' in the new pop-up window to make it private.
'Political Views' can be completed but in this instance, it will be left empty.
Scroll to the top to proof and edit your selections.
If the keyboard hampers your view click 'Done.'
Save the information by clicking 'Save' in the lower right-hand corner or click 'Cancel' to revert back to the original.
Scroll down on the profile to view the saved 'Basic Information' of 'Birthday, Gender, Interested In, Languages,' and 'Religious Views.' 'Political Views' is unseen because it was left empty.
