You're watching VisiHow. Today, I am going to show you how you can edit your profile photo on the MapMyRun application on an iPhone 6.
To start with, we need to unlock our phone by pressing the Lock button located on the right side of the device.
Alternatively, we can press the Home button.
This bottom is located on the front side of the phone, at the very bottom of the screen.
Then we are going to swipe the right, this will take us the to Passcode or Touch ID screen.
Here we can enter our Passcode, or press and hold our finger to the Home button to unlock our phone.
Once we are on the Home screen, we need to locate the MapMyRun application icon.
This icon features a white circle inside of a blue square. Inside of the circle, there will be a blue silhouette of a running man. There will also be the words "MapMyRun" written underneath of this icon.
Tap this icon once, this will bring us the Home page of the application.
Here we can choose to record a workout.
We now need to tap on the three, white, horizontal lines in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
This is going to open a menu bar for us.
This bar will be blue, with all of the text written in white.
Tap on the very first option on this list.
This option will show our name, in our case "Chloe Diamond". To the left of our name, we will see our profile picture in the shape of a square.
This is going to bring up our Profile.
We will note the word "Profile" written in white text at the very top of the screen.
We are now going to tap the word "Edit", located in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
This is going to open a new panel, which will read "Edit Profile" at the top.
We can see our profile picture in the top left-hand corner.
Depending on what we used to sign into MapMyRun, this picture will vary. If we signed in using Facebook, our profile picture will be the same as our Facebook profile picture. However, if we signed in by email, this photo will be blank until we upload one.
Tap on this image one time, this will open up a few options for us.
These options are "Take Photo", "Choose Existing", or "Cancel".
We will now tap on the second option, labeled "Choose Existing".
This will take us to our Camera Roll where a dialog box will open, titled ""MapMyRun" Would Like to Access Your Photos".
We can either tap on "Don't Allow" or "OK".
To allow MapMyRun access to our Camera Roll, we are going to tap on "OK".
This is the second option located on the bottom right side of the dialog box.
MapMyRun will now have access to our Camera Roll, and our pictures will begin loading.
Now we can tap on the album we would like to look through, for our example we will tap on "Instagram".
We can now tap through and tap on the image we would like to use as our Profile picture.
Once the photo is opened, we can crop and size the photo any way we would like.
We can do this by simply pressing down on the screen with two fingers, pushing them together or pulling them apart to change the size of the image. We can also press down and slide our finger to reposition our picture.
Once we are happy with the position and size of our photo, we can press down on "Choose" in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
We can see now that our profile picture has changed to be the image we have just selected.
From here we can press on the word "Save" in the top right-hand corner to save our new profile picture.
Alternatively, we can press on "Cancel" in the top left-hand corner to revert back to our original profile.
In our case, we are going to tap on "Save".
Once we have tapped on our desired choice, we will be brought back to our Profile.
Or new profile picture will now be present in the top left-hand corner if we tapped on Save. However, if we tapped on Cancel, this picture will be the same as before.
To go back, we will press on the three, white, horizontal lines in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
This will open up a menu bar for us, here we will tap on "Record a Workout".
This option is listed at the top right underneath of our name. To the left of the words "Record a Workout", there will be a white triangle with a white outline of a circle surrounding it.
This is going to bring us back to the screen where we started when we first opened the MapMyRun application.
