    To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

    Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

    We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

    There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

    Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the WhatsApp application

    There is a WhatsApp icon, which is a green speech bubble with a white telephone inside, and underneath it says "WhatsApp". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder.

If you are experience this problem and you have followed the steps in the video tutorial above, then press the home button. Tap on "Apps" > "Settings" > "Sound & notification" > "Interruptions". Tap on "When calls and notifications arrive" and change it to "Don't interrupt". Alternatively, set it to "Priority notifications" and disable or enable the options below.
