Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to download the Twitter application to a Microsoft Lumia 535.
Let's get started by pressing the Home button located on the right-hand side of the phone.
At the lock screen, swipe up to enter the Home screen.
Then you will need to enter the Store application.
Mine is located on the Home screen.
If you do not have the application on your Home screen, swipe to the left to access the App menu and find it there.
Once Store is open, we need to press the search button which is the magnifying glass located in the bottom middle of the screen.
Type in Twitter and press search.
It shows up right at the top of the search result list.
It has only three stars, which is quite surprising considering the popularity of Twitter. It is free and available, so we are going to download and install it. Tap on Twitter.
The app overview page states, "Twitter is a free application that lets you connect with people, express yourself and discover more about all things you love." Press the install button at the bottom of the screen, and the installation will begin.
We have another message:
"Allow access to location? Twitter needs to know your location to work correctly." We have to allow this because if we choose cancel, we will not be able to download the application at all. Therefore, press the allow button at the bottom left.
Your phone will now begin downloading and installing Twitter.
You have the option at the bottom to check the installation if you want to see how it is going. You will also see the blue status bar, which indicates download progress, right under the application name.
Under the Twitter icon, it says "With Live Tile," which means that the tile will be active when you pin it to your Home screen.
This will add a bit more color and dynamics to your Home screen.
When the application has finished downloading and installing, it will say "App Installed" below the app name.
We now have the option to press the view button at the bottom left of the screen.
When you press "view," it is going to show us where Twitter is located in the App menu.
I want to pin this to my Home screen because I have a feeling I am going to be using it quite a lot.
To do this, press and hold the Twitter icon, and it should bring up a list of options. Tap on "pin to start."
Now as you can see, Twitter is located at the bottom of my home screen.
This concludes our tutorial on how to download the Twitter application on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
If you have any questions, comments or queries about the video or the application itself, then please leave them in the comment section below. You have been watching VisiHow. Goodbye.
