Questions and Answers

I don't understand what CPU power saving mode is on my Samsung Galaxy S4. Can you please explain what it is?

GPU power saving mode on your Samsung Galaxy S4 limits how much power your CPU (central processing unit) takes from your battery. This also directly limits performance: the less power your CPU draws from your battery, the less power it has to run your Samsung Galaxy S4's applications. If you are not using many applications at once, or if you are not playing incredibly intensive video games that you downloaded from the Google Play Store, turning on your phone's CPU power saving mode will not make your phone feel slower. Your phone will then only use the CPU power required to run the applications that you're using and nothing more, thereby saving your battery. Depending on how many applications you run at once and how intensive they are, you may or may not get noticeable power savings. You will also want to turn this mode off if you want to play a game, since your phone will need to use all of its CPU power to run the game properly and make it playable.
