I would like to thank Tracy Kiss for the awesome video on 5:2 Fasting Diet. I organized it into a wiki for anyone with a hearing impairment, or for those who just prefer to read the steps. Hope you enjoy it. Hi, my name is Tracy Kiss. I'm 26 and I am a mother of two children. I have been a vegetarian since I was 5 years old - that's 21 years now. I basically want to try the 5:2 Diet as a way to lose 40 pounds.

    I'm really greedy with my food as you can see.
    Here is a diary of everything I ate for 30 whole days. Throughout the 30 days, you pause twice a week to culture your daily intake of calories. On the days when you don't fast, which is 5 days in a week, you can eat whatever that you want. As you can see I had takeaways; I had birthday parties; I had cake, ice cream, pizzas, and spring rolls in a cheap shop - everything and anything.

    Then you break up your week with 2 days of fasting which meant for that I had around 500 calories a day.
    There's a lovely pudding spread up probably with ice cream.

    Here's my fasting day here.
    I drink lots of water. I found that I'm always attracted to eat salads because the calories are so low.

    I start my day with a cup of tea.
    Which is quite a whole treat of warm-feeling drink - and it worked really well. The fine tea basically made me realize just how many calories I consumed in a day.

    It's quite shocking how shocking that the size of your food equates to the calorie content - but it doesn't.
    You can have a whole mass of potato salad and it would have lesser calories than 1 chocolate biscuit.

    The size and quantity of your food don't matter - it's the calorie content of it.
    Doing 5:2 definitely opened up my eyes as to what food I consumed. As you can see, I did not deny myself anything.

    I have such a passion for food.
    I love the taste of it and the flavor. Doing the 5:2 diet doesn't deny you the food that you enjoy so you don't cross out meat, cake, ice cream, dairy, and things like that.

    You have everything in moderation.
    As long as you stay within your daily allowance, you can eat whatever you like throughout the week which is not hard to do.

    Across the 30 days, I managed to lose 33 centimeters from my body and I just feel absolutely amazing.

    It is not really a diet.
    It does not feel difficult. It's just a way of life and it's fantastic. I'm healthy. I feel great. I love what I ate. It's the easiest thing I've ever tried.
