Do Front Side Kick Flips

Hi, welcome to VisiHow. Today we're going to teach you how to do a frontside kickflip. For this trick, you're going to want to know how to do a kickflip and a frontside 180. It's fairly simple. Just put your kickflip into your frontside 180. So, you spin frontside 180 degrees and do a kickflip at the exact same time. We'll show you what that would look like.
To begin, the foot positioning for a frontside flip is almost the same as the kickflip position, just a little bit back and tilted.
The back foot should be right on the tail on a bit of an angle so we can pop and get a nice frontside 180.
Once we have the kickflips and frontside 180s down pat, we can put them together.
So, we're going to pop the frontside 180, and at the same time, we're going to spin.
While turning, we're going to use our front foot to flick off the nose, causing the board to do a kickflip at the same time as the frontside 180.
So, set up into the kickflip position, tilted a little bit more depending on what is comfortable.
For the frontside 180 with the backflip, we're going to want to bend down and wind up our shoulders.
Next, we're going to pop and turn our shoulders.
As we turn the shoulders, we're popping the kickflip so that we're sliding our front foot off the nose.
As we do that, we're going to be spinning, flipping, and landing switch.
To land switch, we're going to want to roll away in the same positioning as far as we can.
When trying to land frontside flips, a good tip is to practice getting the spin and catching it with one foot.
Once we're comfortable spinning and flipping the board, we're going to want to try and just jump up and land on it.
So, we're going to want to put everything we've learned together - the kickflip, the frontside 180, the foot positioning, the shoulders, the pop and the spin. Do those all at once.
So, there are two ways to do a frontside flip.
In the first, we can spin the whole frontside rotation. So, we start facing one direction.
Then, we would finish facing the other direction.
Or, we can do it the way we have demonstrated in this video by popping the frontside 180, flipping the kickflip, catching the board on the nose, and then just spinning around.
Either way is correct because they're both frontside flips, but some people prefer to pop it and spin the full rotation compared to being lazy and just spinning the frontside flip around on the nose.
