Disable the Screen Lock on Nexus 6P

Steps

    From the home screen we are going to pull down with our two fingers

    This is going to reveal a gear shaped icon

    We will press this icon.

    We are looking for the "Security" option under "Personal" menu set of options

    Then, we can choose the "Screen lock." Right now it is set to "Pattern."

    "Device protection feature will not work without your pattern. Your saved fingerprints will also be removed form the device and you won't be able to unlock your phone, authorize purchases, or sign in to apps with them." Once, I have read the warning, I can continue by clicking "YES, REMOVE."
