Gestures when in TalkBack mode

When your Galaxy Note3 is in TalkBack mode it does not recognize the normal tapping and swiping gestures. This is an important thing to know so that you will not have a hard time using your device. The gestures that won't work are:

  2. 2
    Tapping/touching.
Normal tapping or touching won't yield the same result on the TalkBack mode. You need to double tap/double touch an item, icon or menu to be able to open or select it.

  • The reason: Because TalkBack is intended to aid people with visual impairment, tapping on an icon or a menu will not open it. Instead, it will speak the name of the application or menu that is being tapped. This is to avoid accidental opening of applications or accidental calling of contacts.

How do I use my Galaxy Note3 S Pen?

How do I use my S Pen to disable TalkBack mode on my phone?

You will not be able to use your S Pen to disable TalkBack Mode on the Samsung Galaxy Note III, because there are times where you will need to use two fingers instead of one. As the S Pen is only able to perform one touch at a time, you won't be able to perform all of the steps with your pen. However, you can follow most of the steps in the guide above with the S Pen, and just use two fingers for those areas where you need to.

Android accessibility options are in setup & I cannot cancel?

My son played with my phone and has enabled accessibility options. The info on the site about double tapping and the two finger swiping helped a little, but I cannot figure out how to cancel the set up. Do I need to go all the way through whatever set up options before I can cancel it? There's no way I can find to get back to my home screen in order to turn off the TalkBack feature.. I have tried: Tried the back button. Tried turning the phone off and back on, tried the home button (or whatever it's called in the middle of the phone at the bottom, to switch between Windows etc). I think it was caused by: My son was playing a game and did lord knows what by mistake.
