Hello and thank you for watching VisiHow. Today, we will show you how to delete a WhatsApp account on the LG L70.
To begin, we can open our Home screen by pressing the top button on the right-hand side of the phone.
Then swipe up on the screen one time.
In this demonstration, we have the "WhatsApp" icon already on the Home screen.
It is a green conversational bubble with a telephone inside of it.
If the "WhatsApp" icon cannot be found on the Home screen, we can access it from the "Apps" menu.
To open that menu, tap on the "Apps" icon at the bottom right-hand corner of the Home screen. The icon is a gray square with some small white boxes inside of it.
If we tap on the "Apps" icon one time, it will open a list of all the applications currently installed on the phone.
Now, we can scroll left or right until we find the "WhatsApp" icon, which is the same green conversational bubble with the white telephone.
Tap the "WhatsApp" icon one time to open the application.
Once the application is open, we can see three options on the top right-hand side.
First, there's an icon of a magnifying glass, which can be used to search our conversations.
Next is an icon that looks like a contact card.
This is used to view all of the contacts.
The last icon consists of three white dots in a line.
We can tap this top open more options.
Let's select the last icon to open a short menu.
We have the options for "New group", "New broadcast", "WhatsApp Web", "Status", or "Settings".
We want to open our "Settings", so tap on that option one time.
In the "Settings" menu, we can access "Help", as well as view and edit our "Profile".
We can also check our "Account", "Chat settings", "Notifications" settings, and "Contacts" settings.
We want to load our "Account" settings, so we'll tap on "Account", which is the third option.
The icon to the left is of a key. Tap there one time.
On the "Account" menu, we can view or edit "Privacy" and "Payment info".
We can also change our phone number, delete our account, and view our "Network usage".
To delete our account, we'll tap on the second option from the bottom that says, "Delete my account".
It will then give us a warning stating that deleting the account will "Delete your account from WhatsApp", "Erase your message history", and "Delete you from all of your WhatsApp groups".
It asks if we "Want to change number instead", in case we might have a new phone number. If this is true, we can choose this option to change our phone number instead of deleting the entire account.
However, to completely delete our account and get rid of "WhatsApp", we need to confirm our telephone number.
We'll do this by entering our country code and phone number.
Once we've finished entering our phone number, we'll tap on the red button at the bottom that says "DELETE MY ACCOUNT".
Press that button one time.
It does display another message to reconfirm with us that we do want to actually delete this account.
If we want to reinstall WhatsApp later, it will not save our data from the old account.
If we're sure that we want to get rid of "WhatsApp", we can press the red button again that says "DELETE MY ACCOUNT".
Our "WhatsApp" account has now been deleted.
We can close this screen by pressing the bottom center button one time and return to the Home screen of the phone.
This concludes our presentation on how to delete your WhatsApp account on the LG L70.
