You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to delete an application from the iPad Air 2.
In order to remove (uninstall) applications from an iPad, the iPad needs to be unlocked.
It should be on the home screen.
Then, you may need to swipe right or left to find the application that you would like to delete.
Simply tap and hold the program icon.
All of the applications will begin to shake, and there will be an "X" on them. Everything with an X can be deleted.
Tap on the "X" next to the application.
This will bring up a pop-up menu asking if we want to delete the software. It is "Rival Kingdoms" in this tutorial.
You can tap on "Delete".
We may get another pop-up menu asking if we want to remove "Rival Kingdoms" from Game Center. Some games will have this option if they are connected to Game Center. Other applications, for example, a phone or messaging applications, may not have that.
You can either tap on "Keep" or "Remove".
It is recommended to remove the application from Game Center when you delete it. If you don't, you can end up having a lot of extra used storage space on your tablet.
In this video, we swipe over to see that none of the applications can be deleted.
These are system applications. System applications are an integral part of an iPad Air 2, and they cannot be removed.
In this video, swiping right will reveal other applications.
Those applications have been installed, and they have an "X" on them, indicating that they can be deleted.
Once you've removed applications from your iPad Air 2, you can simply press the home button.
This will stop the icons from shaking and remove the "X"s, allowing you to resume normal use without having to worry about accidentally deleting something.
