Cut Your Hair for the Marines

Edited by JMA, Eng, Anonymous, Graeme and 4 others

No matter what branch of the military you will be going into, you will have to ensure that you meet their minimum standards. The Army, Navy and the Air Force all have their own set of Uniform Regulations that must be adhered to. An example of this can be found in the United States Marine Corp's haircut standards and found in the MCO P1020.34F.

Questions and Answers

Looking to find out if getting a "barracks cut" (hair cut other than certified/ non certified barber i.e. friend or someone who can cut hair with in the barracks/bathroom/work space) is authorized barber?

Your friend is not an authorized Marines barber. You may be able to use the haircut they give you while you're in the Marines, but you will have to get it checked and approved by the authorized barber. If he doesn't approve it, he may have to cut it again.
