Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to create and delete notes when using the OneNote application on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
To begin, we're going to turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone.
This will take us to the lock screen, where we can swipe up from the bottom to enter the Home screen.
If, like me, you have the OneNote application pinned to your Home Screen, then you can enter it very easily.
If you don't have the OneNote tile on your Home screen, you'll need to swipe from right to left and find it in the App menu.
I have it on my Home screen, so I'm just going to press it to enter the OneNote application.
Now, we are in the OneNote notebooks.
I have two notebooks, my personal notebook and the Family Room notebook. We're going to show you how to set up and delete a new note in the notebook, so we'll first tap on one of the notebooks.
Now, as you can see, we have Quick Notes.
Now, we have the opportunity to create a new note.
To do this, we're going to press the plus sign at the bottom of the screen. This will allow us to create a note.
At the top, we can tap to enter a title for our note.
For example, we can put, To-do - Holiday. We want to keep the title quite concise. We'll know that this is things we need to do on a holiday.
Tap anywhere on the screen below the title to start adding items to this note.
We can create a list or notes about anything we want to quickly create a note on. This might be thoughts, or emotions, or ideas, or just things about what you need to do. Anytime you want to quickly create notes about something you're thinking about or something you need to do, this works very well.
To save what you've done already, we're just going to press the back arrow at the bottom left of the screen to go back.
When you go back, the note will be automatically saved.
If we want to delete a note, all we do is press just to the left side of the note we want to delete.
Now, checkboxes will appear before the notes with the note we just clicked on is checked.
You can choose any or multiple notes to delete.
When all the notes we want to delete have been checked, just press the trash bin icon at the bottom of the screen, and that will delete them.
We can also delete notes via the menu button, which is the ellipsis, or three dots, at the bottom right corner of the screen.
At the menu that pops up, tap on select pages, and the checkboxes will appear before the notes.
Then we can check notes we want to delete and press the trash bin like before.
When you press the trash bin to delete a note, a confirmation will appear asking if we want to delete the pages or cancel.
Tap on delete to confirm, and the pages will be deleted.
This concludes our tutorial on how to create and delete notes when using the OneNote application on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
