    There's a variation with the seasonings because it is to taste. Whatever is preferred, however hot or spicy, just choose as much of that seasoning as desired.

    For this demonstration, we used ground chicken and ground pork for our meats.
    We chose those two meats for this recipe because they were on sale. Since they're lean meats, we can brown both in the same pot we're going to use to make the chili. For ground beef, it may be helpful to cook that in a separate container in order to drain it, since there's a bit more fat on ground beef.

    After we've started browning our meats, we'll add in our steak spice and cayenne pepper.

    Once the meat has a nice brown on it, start adding the vegetables, beginning with some jarred minced garlic.

    Next, add some onions and peppers.
    We've already pre-seasoned our onions slightly with some steak spice and pepper.

    When we're satisfied with the vegetables, we'll add a chili spice to the vegetable mix.
    The veggies just need to be barely cooked because it's going to sit and simmer in the pot.

    Once those veggies are where we'd like them to be, we'll add the canned goods, such as beans and tomatoes.
    Then give it a bit of a stir.

    Now, put the lid on the pot and turn the heat down to a simmer.
    Let it simmer for about half an hour before adding corn.

    Then return the pot to a simmer with the lid on, and let it continue to simmer for at least another hour.
    This is recommended in order to let the flavors really set in. It's even better the second day.

    When the chili is cooked as long as desired, scoop it up in a bowl and top with a favorite cheese, such as cheddar or Parmesan.
