Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to create a collection and add recipes, wines, or cocktails to it in the Food and Drink application on the Microsoft Lumia 535.
Press the Power button on the right side of the phone to turn the screen on and display the lock screen
Swipe the lock screen up to display the Home screen
Find and tap the Food and Drink tile to open the Food and Drink application
The tile has a white rectangle with the outlines of a fork and spoon in it, on a blue background. If the Food and Drink app is not pinned to the Home screen, swipe from right to left to display the App menu. Find and tap 'Food and Drink' in the app menu to open the Food and Drink app.
The app should open to the main menu, where we see a large picture of a recipe, and the options 'browse recipes', 'shopping lists', and 'collections'
If the app does not open directly to the main menu, swipe left or right until these options are visible.
Tap 'collections' to open the collections page
This is where we will create a new collection.
Tap the plus icon at the bottom of the screen, on the right, to create a new collection
Type in a name for the collection and tap 'Save'
In this example, we will call the collection 'Friends'. We will be returned to the list of collections, where we will be able to see our new 'Friends' collection.
Tap the new collection to open it
The new collection will be empty. We need to search for recipes, cocktails, and wines to add.
Tap the Back arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen twice to return to the main menu of the app
From the main menu, we can choose to browse recipes, or we can swipe left or right to search for cocktails and wine
In this example, we will search for a wine.
Tap 'See All Wines' to browse the list of wines in the application
Tap a wine to view the details for that wine
In this example, we will choose one at random.
Once we have selected a wine to add to the collection, tap the menu icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to view the options menu
The menu icon appears as an ellipsis, or three dots. Once the options menu has opened, we are looking for the four white icons at the top of the menu.
Tap the 'collect' icon at the top of the options menu, second from the right
The collect icon appears as a white circle with a star and plus sign in it.
Tap one of the existing collections to add the wine to that collection
Alternatively, tap 'create new collection' to create a new collection and add the wine to that new collection. We will be taken to the selected collection, where we can see the wine has been added.
Tap the Home icon at the bottom of the screen to return to the main menu
The Home icon appears as a white circle with a house in it.
From the main menu, tap 'browse recipes' to search for a recipe to add to the collection
Tap a category of recipe to view recipes from that category
In this example, we will use 'Main Dish'.
Tap a recipe to view the details for that recipe
Tap the 'collect' icon to add the recipe to a collection
It is the same icon as when adding a wine to a collection.
Tap a collection to add the recipe to that collection
We will be taken to the selected collection, where we can see the recipe has been added. In this example, we have now added a wine and a recipe, and both can now be seen in the collection. We can add as many items to the collection as we like, including cocktails. This functionality can be helpful when preparing multiple recipes and beverages for a large group of people.
This concludes the tutorial on how to create a collection and add recipes, wines, and cocktails to it while using the Food and Drinks application on the Microsoft Lumia 535
