You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to create a folder on the iPad Air 2.
In order to create a new folder on the iPad, you'll need to have the tablet unlocked.
It should be on the home screen.
Locate the first two icons that you would like to move into the same folder.
In this case, let's swipe right and move some game icons with airplanes and spaceships.
In order to move icons together, tap and hold an icon to unlock all of the icons.
They will start shaking.
Now, drag the icon on top of another one.
Both icons will join together in a new folder.
Release the icon.
The icons will be in the folder.
Tap away from the folder to close it.
Drag other icons into the folder.
Note that when moving icons down, the entire line of icons will move around. Keep in mind that you cannot simply move icons wherever you like them on the screen. They will always automatically line up.
Tap and hold an icon inside the folder.
You can drag the icon to another page within the folder by dragging it to the right.
You will have several pages within the same folder.
When you've finished, press the home button to stop icons from being moved around.
You can scroll left and right within the folder.
You can tap away from the folder to close it.
You will go back to the home screen with other applications. You'll see the folder that you'll have created.
Press the home button.
You will go to the first page of the home screen.
