Create Dialer Shortcut on Lock Screen of the Nexus 6P

You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we're going to demonstrate how to get the Dialer shortcut back onto your lock screen using Marshmallow Android.

Steps

    Turn off the device

    Then, turn it back on

    You will notice that in the lower-left corner there is a microphone input.

    To change the microphone input to the Dialer shortcut, unlock the device

    Swipe down from the top with two fingers

    Then, tap the gear-shaped icon

    Tap on "Apps"

    It is changed from "Google App".

    Tap on the circle button to go back to the home screen

    Then, turn the device back on

    You will notice that the microphone icon has been replaced with a Dialer shortcut.

    Swipe the screen and enter your passcode

    This will enable me to get straight to the Dialer. Do note that if you disable "Google Assist" as the default voice feature, you won't be able to access "OK, Google!" from your lock screen.
