You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show how to count the number of files on the Mac operating system.
To begin with, we are going to open up Finder
In this tutorial, we click on "my videos"
We want to know how many files there are in this folder.
We press "Command" and "/" to open the Finder status bar
In this tutorial, it will show that there are 27 items and 234.46 GB left on the current hard drive.
Another way of counting the files is clicking on the folder
We press "Command" and "I"
This will bring up the "Info" window for the folder. In this video, the window will show that there are 134 items, taking up about 18GB on the disc. This includes the subdirectories.
The last way of counting files is to highlight all of the items
We right-click the selected items
In this tutorial, the menu will show that we have 25 items.
So, those were three ways of finding out how many items are there in a folder. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the space below. Thank you for watching VisiHow!
