You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we're going to show you how to correct keyboard problems by disabling the zoom feature on an iPhone 6.
To begin, let's find the home button at the bottom center of the phone.
Give it one quick press. This will take us to the Lock screen.
Enter a pin or passcode, or simply press and hold a finger or thumbprint on the Home button.
Now, we are in the home screen of the phone.
We will need to look for the silver and gray "Settings" icon. It is a series of gears inside of a box, and it's labeled "Settings".
Give the "Settings" icon one press.
Now, we are in the "Settings" panel.
Scroll down and find "General".
Give it one press.
Under "General", find the "Accessibility" option.
Press this as well.
Now, we are at the "Accessibility" menu.
The next thing we are looking for is "Zoom", which is the second option under "VISION". Press "Zoom" one time.
Now, we will see a number of options.
The first option is "Zoom". The second option is "Follow Focus". The third option is "Show Controller". The fourth option is "Zoom Region". At the bottom is the "Maximum Zoom Level".
To enable "Zoom", tap the round white button on the right.
Tap the round white button on the right for "Follow Focus".
Tap the round white button on the right for "Smart Typing".
This will allow us to switch while typing.
Tap the round white button on the right for "Show Controller".
This is a controller which will allow us to move around. Underneath this is "Idle Visibility".
Press on "Zoom Region".
This can be changed to "Full Screen Zoom" or "Window Zoom".
Press "Zoom" in blue text at the upper left corner of the screen to go back.
If any of these options are enabled, it will cause the phone screen to potentially zoom in just a little bit.
This will shift it up and down, and cause keyboard and typing functions to fail when we are attempting to use them. It may also require multiple attempts to tap, or otherwise do strange things. If we are experiencing problems with the iPhone 6 keyboard, we need to use this section to correct it. Tap the round white button to the right of each "Zoom" option to disable them.
Press the blue "Accessibility" in the upper left corner of the screen to go back.
Confirm that "Zoom" is set to "Off".
We can then tap back by pressing the blue "General" in the upper left corner of the screen.
Then tap back on the blue "Settings" in the upper left corner of the screen.
Give a single press to the Home button.
Now, we are back at the Home screen.
We will now be able to continue using our phone as normal.
This concludes our tutorial on how to fix keyboard problems by disabling the Zoom function on an iPhone 6.
