If your Tablet is Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, you really can't connect it to your TV because it does not support MHL/HDMI functionality. Only Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 with 8.0 and 10.1 screen sizes are compatible with Galaxy Tab™ HDMI Adapter. If this is not the case, just follow the instructions above and you'll be able to connect your Tablet to your TV without any problem.

Since your Tablet and TV are both Samsung, it would be much easier to do this. You just need to make sure that both contain the same apps that will be able to allow streaming of content onto the TV.

To make it easier, you can use a device called Chromecast that you will plug onto your TV. This will then allow your TV to search for your Tablet wireless through WiFi and be able to run the contents on the TV.
