You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to configure controls in the VisualBoyAdvance emulator.
To begin, open the VisualBoyAdvance emulator.
In this video, there is an icon for the emulator on the desktop. You may have the program saved in another location.
When the emulator opens, click "Options" in the menu at the top of the window.
In the menu, move the cursor to "Joypad".
Move the cursor to "Default Joypad".
Click "1" to play mostly single-player games.
If you want to have an emulation of a Game Link Cable and become an extra player, you can click "2" (two players), "3" (three players), or "4" (four players).
Then, move the cursor to "Configure".
Since "Default Joypad" is set to the port "1", click "1..." under "Configure" too.
A configuration window will appear in the window. The first control is "Up", which is set to the "Up Arrow" on the keyboard.
If you want the "Up" motion to be "W" on the keyboard, click the "Up" text box and press "W".
You can then click in the "Down" text box and change the control from "Down Arrow" to "S".
Click in the "Left" text box and change the control from "Left Arrow" to "A".
Then, click in the "Right" text box and change the control from "Right Arrow" to "D".
You can also set "Button A" to be "Left Arrow".
"Button B" can be set to "Down Arrow".
"Button L" can be set to "Q".
"Button R" can be set to "Up Arrow".
Let's leave "Select" as "Backspace" and "Start" as "Enter".
There is also a control for "Speed", which toggles the speed up. If you are playing a game that has a lot of text to scroll, you can press a button to speed up the scroll. Currently, the control is set to "Space".
The next option that you can set a key for is "Capture".
The control is currently set to "F12". If you press "F12" or your selected key during the game, you will save a screenshot, which will be saved to the default directory of the emulator.
Set these controls according to your preference and click on "OK" at the bottom of this window.

How can I control the VisualBoyAdvance?
I don't know how to control it. When the game is starting, I can't go any further. It's like it freezes in the "New Game" part.
