What kind of rice dish would be served with steak?

My mom wants to cook it in her rice cooker.. I have tried: Well, I have looked at many pages on Google, but none of the pages have recipes for rice that can be cooked in a rice cooker that will go with steak.. I think it was caused by: I have no clue.

What rice dish would you recommend to serve with steak teriyaki?

I have both Japanese short grain rice and Jasmine rice. I'd like a simple rice dish that might enhance the teriyaki marinade of mirin, sake, shoyu and grated orange rind.. . Your offer of assistance is so appreciated. I don't want the rice dish to overpower, or compete with, the flavors of the teriyaki. It could be that plain rice is what I need. I have tried: Plain Japanese short grain rice and plain Jasmine rice. I think it was caused by: No problem, really. Merely want to serve the best rice side I can find to accompany the teriyaki.
