Hi! You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to choose default apps on Windows 10 computers.
The first thing that we need to do is open up "Settings" by clicking the lower-left corner of the screen.
Then, we click "Settings".
When "SETTINGS" opens, we need to click "System".
Then, we need to scroll down and click "Default apps".
We will have several options on the right side of the screen. In this video, Calendar doesn't have any specific application designed for it.
We click on the plus sign under "Calendar" to choose a default application.
A pop-up menu will tell us that we can look for an application in Store. The same thing can be done for a feature for which we have several applications. In this video, it is the web browser feature.
Let's click "Google Chrome" under "Web browser".
We'll have Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge.
We can either click one of them or look for an application in Store.
If we are not happy with the changes, we can always click "Reset".
The settings will be set to the default options.
Another case is "Choose default apps by file type".
We click it. There will be a list of all of the file types that the computer has ever seen.
We can scroll down and up through the list.
This might take some time to load. Depending on the number of files that we have or that the computer has seen, it may take several seconds or minutes. In this video, we have "3G2 File". The default application for "3G2 File" is Movies & TV.
To change "Default app", we need to click the default application.
In this video, the default application is Movies & TV. Then, we click an existing application or look for an application in the store.
We set everything according to our preference, and then we can close the window.
This concludes our tutorial on how to choose default apps on Windows 10 computers. Thank you for watching VisiHow! If you have any other comments or questions, please leave them in the comments section below.
