Check Your Heart Rate on iPhone 6 with Cardiio
Edited by Grimm, Crystal, Eng, Anonymous
You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to check your heart rate on the iPhone 6.
To do this, we're going to need to download a third-party application called "Cardiio".
We currently have the application downloaded.
To download it, we'll need to go to the App Store.
Press the "Search" icon at the bottom.
Tap the search bar at the top.
Type in "cardio" and tap on a suggested search.
Tap on the "Cardiio" application with the red heart icon.
This will show us the actual application, it's very well rated.
Tap on the "GET" or "INSTALL" button, and once it has downloaded tap "OPEN".
Alternatively, once the download is complete, press the home button.
We'll have the Cardiio application on the home screen; tap on it to launch the Cardiio application where we'll see a doctors stethoscope.
Tap the stethoscope one time and we'll be given a warning that it can't access the camera, so we need to go to the settings to allow Cardiio to have access to the camera.
Tap on the switch on the right-hand side of "Camera" to allow Cardiio to have access to the camera.
Tap the stethoscope.
It will ask us to allow access to our location.
We don't need to allow it, but we will so that we can have some region-based hard analysis to see how our health compares to everyone else.
We need to cover the back camera and flash with our finger.
We're going to use our index finger for this. The screen tells us that it couldn't find our finger, because we weren't pressing it. We're going to tap "Try again" and put our finger over the back of the phone on the flash as well (the flash will be lit up).
Leave the finger there until it's done.
In this example, our heart rate has been measured at 85 beats per minute. This is because we were running down the street a few minutes ago.
We're going to set the state to "Active".
If we were just sitting around, we'd leave it on "Rest".
We type in how long we were active for and tap "Done".
We can then tap "Save" in the top right-hand corner.
We can also share it with people if we want to.
Now we have a heart rate saved, and in order to give more accurate information, we can put in our gender, birthday, weight and any options listed below.
Tap "Confirm" in the top right-hand corner.
We can see that with "PRO", we can set our target exercise rates, go through calories burned, and get ourselves back in shape.
We'll discuss that in another video.
Close the application by tapping the home button.
Thanks for choosing VisiHow, have a great day.
